What, Me Worry?

Actually, yes. I AM worried.

How on Earth are we going to leave the Earth for our kids? We have an obligation to be better stewards of our resources than we seem to be doing today. And that’s why I’m stoked because The Carbon Almanac (It’s Not Too Late) is helping us do just that.

The Carbon Almanac is worried. But not the “wring-your-hands-and-whine” kind of worry. It’s a “get-up-out-of-your-chair-and-do-something-to-fix-it” kind of worry.

Here are some folks who are worrying wisely: The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) is the United Nations body for assessing the science related to climate change. The IPCC provides regular assessments of the scientific basis of climate change, its impacts and future risks, and options for adaptation and mitigation.

The IPCC currently has 195 members, with thousands of people from all over the world contributing to its work. IPCC scientists volunteer their time to assess the multitude of scientific papers published each year to provide a comprehensive summary of what is known about the drivers of climate change, its impacts and future risks, and how adaptation and mitigation can reduce those risks.

I’m also glad to know there are some people who are worried enough to find investors to help the cause. The International Investor’s Group for Climate Change IIGCC’s mission is to mobilize capital for the low-carbon future by amplifying the investor's voice and collaborating with businesses, policymakers, and investors. IIGCC provides investors with a collaborative platform to encourage public policies, investment practices, and corporate behavior that address long-term risks and opportunities associated with climate change.

These are but two of the many organizations and groups associated with and resources for the Carbon Almanac supporters in the endeavor to save our Earth.

Worrywarts?

We need worrywarts who turn their worries into good activism for good causes. Join the wise worriers. Pre-order your copy of The Carbon Almanac (It’s Not Too Late). Because it’s not too late to preorder. :) And it’s not too late to do a little or a big anything.
